The crocus is one of the very first flowers of the year to bloom and its message is one of joy as we celebrate the return of spring.
Just as we thought winter was never going to end - a crocus appears, then another, and another, until there's a sea of crocuses!
I tried to capture the contrast between the crocus’s pale and watery stems and its vivid saffron threads, with the flowers coming out from the darkness and into the light, as the cup of new beginnings shares hope and happiness for the future.
My cards are made using high grade 350 gsm artist’s card from sustainable forests. The brown eco-envelopes are made from 100% recycled paper.
Trade orders are accepted in multiples of six.
