Nasturtiums in Bird Jug by Susie Hamilton
I painted this during the August heatwave and so I was hoping to capture the feeling of the long hot summer.
I love the Nasturtium’s lush, succulent leaves with veins that burst out like shooting stars, while their stalks wind their way into the most wonderful curls and twists. The flowers are just brilliant to paint too; so vivid and bold.
In contrast, I have styled the Staffordshire jug using inspiration from the Portuguese azulejo tiles, aiming to create a coolness against the heat of the flowers.
Beautifully printed on sustainably sourced, high quality 350gsm museum grade paper.
Prints are available in three sizes as follows:
- A5 - 148mm x 210mm (image size 132mm x 194mm)
- A4 - 210 mm x 297mm (image size 186mm x 273mm)
- A3 - 297mm x 420mm (image size 269mm x 392mm)
Each print is carefully packaged in a biodegradable display bag.
Your print will be posted out flat in sturdy recyclable packaging, A5 and A4 prints will fit through a letterbox.
